Happy New Year to You.

January 3rd, 2019.

New Year celebrations are over and we are packing our luggage and flying out tonight to Australia.

We have been on a few outings in to different parts of Hong Kong. The other day Paul and I went off for the day to Stanley to shop and have lunch out.

Here are a few pictures of the area. Since we were there a few years ago it has more shops like a little mall with restaurants and different stores. For those that have been to Stanley know the bus is quite something. Not knowing the first time we went, we climbed the stairs to the upper deck and the front seat thinking it would  give us the best view. I can tell you as the bus wind its way up the mountain , narrow roads overhangs it was quite never racking so didn't do that this visit.

This is the little fishing boats that are owned by the locals. Little overcast that day temps were about 17c.
As we walked along the road we passed the little temples where people go into worship and place incentive.

As we walked along the side walk on the other side of the street are many resturants to choose from, authentic restaurants, Irish pubs and a little restaurant that we go to has good fish and chips.

And there was still the flower beds with the bright poinsettias from Christmas.

As we enter into the New Year we are entering into the unknown, for those of us of faith I find the words from Proverbs 3 v5&6. very encouraging. We leave behind us the last year and the highs and lows and look forward to new adventures and new experiences. May God bless each and everyone of you.

Next time we hope to have our travels of Australia.

  1. Dennis was in Stanley 40+ years ago, when in the Navy. He loved visiting Hong Kong. Enjoy Australia!
